The Australian Silky Terrier is a relatively young terrier breed, whose origin lies in Australia. He is mainly a cross between the Australian Terrier and the Yorkshire Terrier. But also the Dandie Dinmont Terrier and the Skye Terrier were crossed in. This book describes all five breeds with emphasis on the Australian Silky Terrier.
Exhibitions, breeding and puppies are as much a part of the book as education, nutrition and care. It is expressly pointed out that all terrier breeds mentioned here are neither lapdogs nor suitable for beginners. They are very teachable and easy to train and are ideal for dog sports such as agility or obedience, but also as therapy dogs.
All breeds mentioned in the book are loving and faithful companions, each unique in its kind.
